Session Selection & Registration

How do I know what session to attend?

Review and register for available sessions on Canvas via the LEAP Platform. For most content areas, PD Day will begin at 8:30am and end at 3:30pm. Please verify the timing of sessions on the LEAP Platform.  Please note, some content areas organize sessions for PD Day by each individual session, while other content areas have one session for the entire PD Day. If you have any questions, please email the points of contact listed on the January 28 PD Day page for your content area.

What training(s) should Education Campus teachers attend?

Typically, K-5 teachers should attend elementary sessions, and 6-8 teachers should attend secondary sessions.

I teach Special Education students. Should I attend Special Education sessions or content sessions for ELA or Math?

All Special Education teachers should attend Special Education sessions.

Please Note: If you are a new DCPS staff member, you may not yet have access to the LEAP Platform. In this case, you do not need to register in advance. Please be sure to sign-in at your PD site in order to receive your PLUs. Reach out to the POC listed for your content area with any questions.
